Came back to the car in Luton airport carpark to find the rear towing eye cover missing? Think I would’ve spotted it when we left if it’d fell off on the way, so I’m assuming someone stole it... But just checking to see if there’s a common issue with them?

Oh and where’s the best place to get a new one?

eBay for replacement. Or a local breakers yard you’d get a good deal for something like that - plus you’d know it was genuine (if that is something that bothers you)

Personally don’t know why someone would steal that bit in particular but who knows.

But in all seriousness, I doubt it was stolen. Its not a valuable part. Maybe they really liked your pinstriping! 

For replacing it, after some unsuccessful google searching, your best bet would be a breakers yard.

I found many a variety of that part, but unfortunately it doesn't fit the Mk7.5 ST-Line.

For buying a new one look at the front and back of the car, and add the word dealer to any word you see.

Scum about everywhere! When our Fiesta was just 6 months old the lower whole rear black plastic section & towing eye cover had been whipped ☹️ I was going to do exactly the same thing and nick another off a car but then I'd be no better than the scum who nicked ours, cost me £80 for both parts.

used to be only valve caps that would get nicked back in the day...

I had all 4 of my side skirt caps stolen off my ST220. so bonded the new ones on and put screws in.

Now everytime i go to jack the car up i kick myself. but at least I still have them. 😂

Same here, caught kids nicking my lovely metal caps, transferring them onto their BMX wheels, made them put them back on the car, then got some plastic caps out my glovebox and gave them to put on their valves.

From 2010 onwards there was a spate of side sill caps being stolen off the Fiesta Zetec s & ST cars, dodgy sellers selling them on ebay in sets of four or singles in all colours, if they hadn't the colour, they could on 'special order' or in other words hunting out the correct colour car, the covers from Ford was expensive, about £40 each something like that and in grey primer, scum knowing this so set up ebay shops for £20/£30 each or four for £50/£60, theft was rife but not so much nowadays, bet it still happens though.
