Water leak from quarter window

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

Just signed up looking some help.  My girlfriend just past her test and got herself an 03 Fiesta Zetec Hatchback.  Cheap runabout for her first year.

There has been a water leak in the boot that upon closer inspection I have discovered is actually coming from the driver's side rear passenger quarter window.  Water seems to be coming in top and bottom, leaking down into the boot over the wheel arch.  It's causing a bit of a mess and I would like to sort it for her.  I am assuming it's the window seal?  If so how easy is it to remove the window and replace the seal?

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Cheers Eddie.  I'd been looking at that but wasn't sure of the effectiveness of it given my inability to get at the seal and clean it beforehand.  Best easy option on the face of it though,  I agree. But I've arranged for a mobile glass repair guy to call later today with the view to taking the window out and refitting it.  I'll post back on cost and outcome if he does.
