Hello all. I've recently bought a Focus Titanium sept 2016 model from a main dealer. Advertised as having DRL and Folding mirrors which are both missing as such. Also should it not have a shark fin ariel.  I've also seen a lot with tinted windows and roof spoilers. I'm so confused as why/how the same model is so different. I'm starting to wonder if it is a Titanium model at all ?! Help 

 

A lot of things are still extras even on higher spec models, but if the car was advertised to you with features it doesn't have, then return to the garage with a copy of the original advert.

Politely ask them to show you where these features are on the car and how they work as you can't seen to figure it out, and when they can't, ask them even more politely what they think they should do about it!

Bottom line, it may not have features that other titanium spec cars have due to options chosen when new, but if you bought it after seeing an advert with features it doesn't have, they owe you big time.

And don't accept free servicing or any of that tosh as a replacement either. Imagine how good a job they'd do when not getting paid for it...

At risk of being seen as wise after the event, did you not notice their absence when you thoroughly checked and tested the vehicle prior to purchase?

That's what everyone else has said. My mistake maybe. Apparently not all models have them as standard and may of been added or not as the appearance pack.  I guess i didn't notice or question until I saw a couple of other Focus while driving a few days later.  tbh with all the snow we had my car sat on the drive for a week or so. It's all good I'll just buy some. 

It may have DRL's but just the tungsten ones.privacy glass is normally an  extra, as are pwerfold mirrors, yours may well fold but it will be on the little button in front of the mirror adjuster.

I’ve had two titanium’s and neither had DRL’s, shark fin aerial or folding mirrors with puddle lights. Must be different specs or maybe the titanium X that has those. 

Cheers Neil. I think I'm stressing too much. The car is great. All the other spec is there as listed and working lol. Anyone have any recommendations for DRLs or should I not bother.

I was sort of opposite. Salesman saying my car didn't have the true keyless entry where you touch the door handles. He says keyless just means using the fob.
I had to show him it working lol

I have a 2017 titanium. Mine doesn't have tints as in black windows and has a standard aerial and no folding mirror. However it does have drls.

I was surprised over the mirrors considering my previous fiesta titanium had them. I had presumed the same model of next sized car up would have at least the same equipment or more.

They all seem to have differences. That's why I put up the Ford spec page. If that's what the car should have as standard why has it not ?. Ok I'm getting annoyed again. Sorry.

Not sure about the 3.5 but would have thought the DRLs are built into the headlights?

Why?

DRLs are an optional extra unless Titanium X. The original Ford spec in the image above bears no relevance to your car nor the original advert for the car as everything can be customised.

Without seeing the advert we can't see if you have a case.

As regards "Tungsten" DRLs... These are not a feature on the current models of Focus.
