  4. To be blunt here- You don't like the look, ride or sound of an ST? So why look at buying an ST? I have been in one and it was perfectly fine. Sent from my SM-G930F

  5. As @biff55 said can get 72w and have brighter light than my set @Cookey09 and we can compare them to these via light output build quality etc too never know if they are better a might get a set of them too haha I'm happy with these atm and the fan less approach in checked on there fb page only goes to 50 odd degrees which is amazing the one with fan goes hotter but with fan it decipates it a lot lower so goes Cooler because of fan and would be interesting to see the brightness of these bud keep us up to date @Jonro2009 so what you are telling us is that you were pole dancing your mondeo lol surely cant be too hard buddy I seen lots of aftermarket stuff for new mondeo and quite like them myself too and I agree with the 5000k usable light lol well I have spoken to night eye themselves and they were asking what we wanted a said a led light that's 5000k and they said it is possible and are now looking into it 😃

  18. I have a TitX with 17s on. Yeah, the ride is quite jarring at times, so I can imagine this is worse in an ST. It's also not the quietest cruiser and you know you're doing miles on the motorway. Is it worse than my old Corsa though? Probably not. That was a Design running on 16s. The Corsa was more comfortable though as the Fiesta isn't great for tall people. Seats in the Fiesta are a little more padded. The 125 Ecoboost is a fun enough engine. Fast enough but not a traffic light burner because the gearbox is not designed to do it. Long ratios... The crappy clutch will also die very early by all accounts. It runs out of puff lower in the rev range than you'd expect. This is especially obvious in first gear. Sounds nice though. I'm a leisurely driver who occasionally likes to put his foot down though and for that, it's perfectly fine. Yes, it's chuckable. Yes, it's good value on the whole. Yes, stuff will go wrong with it. Yes, there is a plethora of mods you can make and I'm sure the spoiler will come off easily enough.

  19. A few years ago a compete stranger did this to me in a supermarket car park. I was still in my car at the time (on the phone) and she parked beside me , much like that - absolutely no way for me to get out from the drivers door. I tapped the horn and gestured to her, she shrugged and got out her car. So I rolled the window down and punch her passenger door. You would have thought I has put a bomb in her car the way she exploded. Was worth it though - so got the point and moved it. :-)

  22. no worries. if youre thinking of buying a set , i'd probably get the 72w set as they have mini cooling fans built into the bulb base , which will help them last longer. the set paramanic bought are 50w so should be a bit brighter :-)

  23. Don't know why it did that lol what I was going to say was you can also fit Euro reversing light instead of the fog light and fit a red led light in to the clear lense and smoke both lights I also fitted a led white light in to the reversing light

  26. You've just handed your self a ticket to "bye bye's ville". Well done that man. The response you got is because quite frankly these are questions for a dealer to answer. The information is on the Ford pages, and if you're speccing up a new car, those options will be visible when you actually bother to do it. Buying a second hand car? The response would have been more helpful because no two Ford's are alike, and guidance would have been given on what to look for when searching for one with x features. This is the problem these days @alexp999 people expect to be spoon fed everything. I might just add, he's a paramedic. I wonder if he talks to his patients like that....

  27. Welcome to the forum Gazza, I've saw your post on my profile page there aswell thanks for the kind comments & getting directly in contact, it's a better organised layout if i respond on this thread rather than my profile page. Before you invest in this project mate I suggest saving funds for the planned future project as I've spent over 12 euro on mine and it handles just like an ST but in terms of performance its still not an ST, it takes copious amounts of your money and you won't notice because it will always look good in exchange for your cash, next thing you realise; give spent 2 grand on modifcations. Now with that said I'll answer your question; Everything from the ST both inside and out will fit your focus 100% except engine parts & exhausts. The seats bolt in no problem, to remove front and rear seats you will need a TX40 and a TX50 bit available from Halfords both for around 16 pounds or the key set is available for around 12 pounds I couldn't decide at the time and I'm forever dropping tools so I bought both 😅 I've created a few guides including fitting the ST pod here: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/68214-full-list-lennys-guides/ My six year long build thread is also here: http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/41443-taking-oval-to-blue-horizon-lennys-build-thread-2010-2015/ Regarding the Body kit: The best place to get the ST parts is from the breakers on eBay, your focus is a Mk2.5 model 2008-2011 the zetec part doesnt matter its just spec. Regarding the wheels👇 🙊Bigger is not always better when it comes to fitting 18's alot of people don't mention increased "unsprung mass" Unsprung mass is basically everything which is attached to the vehicle that is not supported by the springs. The less weight of the unsprung mass; the faster the vehicle will be or atleast more responsive. Fitting bigger rims or bigger brakes discs or even calipers all contribute to the unsprung mass of the vehicle which reduces the free rotation and can wear out the clutch prematurely aswell. I've gotten first hand experience with increased "unsprung mass" when I upgraded my 16x7.5 wheels to 18x8 wheels the larger heavier rim looked the dogs swingers for sure but truth be told they also reduce the take off speed and responsive acceleration, The 8" wide rim reduces the vehicles tight turning angle causing you to dip left before turning right at times much like a formula one driver to take tight turns. Tyres are at minimum 100 pounds each if you are expecting them to last you 12 months, there's no option of purchasing a partially worn 225/35/18 neither that don't happen like it do with 205/55/16 sized tyres. On the positive side though; 18x8" wheels offer fantastic handling on the road when combined with good tyres you can get up to 45mph on a medium sized roundabout the lateral grip is fantastic, also on the motorway 140mph is as stable as 20mph there's no feeling like your coming through the Ozone layer in a space ship type judder it's plain sailing all the way. overall if your prepared to spend 400 per year on tyres and don't mind losing the ability to spin the front tyres outside McDonald's on a Friday night then 18's are definitely fun especially on the bend's. perhaps take up oven tray drifting instead😉saves the tyres Regarding Lowering If your persistent on doing somthing to improve your focus in terms of both style and performance then I highly recommend lowering springs. I've had the Ford approved eibach lowering springs fitted and it takes a few weeks for them to fully bed in but when they do; they make every journey more fun, the vehicle becomes very predictable in corners and doesn't sway like an elephant on a tricycle the top doesn't lean as much aswell as a reduction in understeer, being ford approved lowering springs they don't cause the chassis to scrape on anything ever, I've toured the country done over 100,000 miles lowered and never scuffed the body. The only negative point about lowering the car is the camber😁; some people are not aware of the excessive negative camber which needs to be corrected, Correcting the front camber can be done without changing any stock parts, however the rear camber bolts need swapping out for a set of eibach adjustable rear camber bolts, they cost under 30 pounds and allow the hub to be adjusted so as the full surface of your tyre is making contact with the road but with a marginal offset lean towards the sky which is ready for the lateral G when doing 35-40 on the roundabouts without slipping out on you. After lowering the vehicle and fitting the adjustable rear camber bolts; i highly recommend have the laser tracking alignment carried out at your local tyre specialist, The service costs around 40 pounds takes about an hour and prevents your tyres prematurely wearing out on only the inside which looks like this👇 😥Regarding the exhaust: The ST exhaust won't fit a regular focus because of the spare tyre well consuming the space where the ST or RS muffler resides. A full catback exhaust which replaces everything from the catalyst back to the tip or tips will cost you between 400-450 in T304 Stainless steel. You currently have a single exit mild steel exhaust as standard, the exhaust your looking for is a duplex, here's one available off the shelf from Piper Performance in the UK built from T304 aircraft grade stainless steel making it super light and never rusts. It's designed to fit to Focus ST exhaust hangers which do bolt straight in to your focus and replicate the genuine ST exhaust, there are a range of tips available including ST replica ones if desired. If you need any more advice feel free to post it on Here or if it's relating to one of the guides just post the question in the relevant guide and myself or a fellow member will respond within 24hr's 👍

  35. Hey guys, it's been quite a while since I've posted up of any changes! Everything slowed down over Christmas, as presents needed to be purchased and the weather made life outside quite annoying! Gave the car a quick snowfoam and wash knowing I'd be working on it! Was with a friend in his blue ST too :) I managed to get something done yesterday I'm really happy about :) Purchased a new Front Splitter for the car, was only £70 from a friend that had one spare! I've never put one of these on a car or seen it, but it was reasonabley okay to do tbh. Had some predrilled holes in the splitter, just needed to allign the positioning properly clamp it in place and then start drilling to secure it up to the car :) Looked smart on the ramp but needed to get it down to see what it would be like on the road.. Really like the way it brings the front end together, gives it more presence and looks aggressive! Even got a bit of snow before leaving my friend's place.. We don't get any in the South usually haha Today I decided that although I changed the colour of some of the red ST badges about to white, they didn't really stand out against the silver and chrome so I ordered another set in lime green to match my theme with the callipers and other stickers etc. Seem to stand out better and everyone seems to like black & green combos Also did the steering wheel overlay but forgot to take a picture doh.. Also became a fairly expensive day as well.. while the car was up on the ramp we took a look at the tires as I knew 2 were getting low on tread as when I purchased the car we noticed it and managed to get £200 off for them to get done however I never did and just got max use out of them.. well defo the case as not only were these original 2 gone.. but all 4 were under the legal limit and looked like slicks. I have had poor traction for a while now and the car doesn't like it understandabley. So went to have 4 new tyres fitted as well. I didn't get anything too decent as don't really have the money to invest in top rated stuff given Christmas has just come and gone. Got some Alpha tyres.. Can really see the difference in tread.. My old ones were not far off from being 'summer slicks' to be quite honest. Get plenty more traction now, and don't spin in 2nd and 3rd anywhere near as much as I used to! Now i'll be getting some more speed to go with the extra style! Thanks for having a look lemme know what you think as ever

  41. Hi Tdci-Peter Yes that drain is huge the RAC man and garage could'nt believe it was so high, here is the report that the garage gave me after having the car for 3 days and not being able to solve the problem. I have now picked the car up from garage and (have got it booked into Main dealer next week, dreading the bill already) the battery was flat within 3 hours but obviously do not know how much power the garage had put into it before i picked it up.

  42. Car looks smart , loads of tech on board. Could always upgrade your headlight bulbs , leds panels in the boot either side makes a huge difference over the stock bulbs. Remap if you want more power and better fuel economy. These engines are safe at 135 bhp - 150 bhp & 335 NM torque.

  43. Hello Gazza another way to give your car the st look is to fit a set of st led rear lights. You can get them of eBay you will need to change the stock loom over but if you are patient you should get a set of lights with the loom included. If you take a look at Lenny's build posts it will show you how it's done.

  44. I ordered a full set from CEUK for my MK3 Focus. Since being installed I've had to replace the sidelights due to flickering and have changed dipped beam back to Osram and high beams back to stock. Not worth the price at all. Havent used the fogs much but I'll prob go back to yellow. Resulting in paying price for a full set and only using the sidelights :(

  46. Just like when last summer it was reported that this winter was going to be the worst since 1962-63... Complete bull excrement. I didn't even have so much as a frozen windscreen tonight, just a light dusting of snow which the wipers swept away easily.

  47. Your first two posts are asking about options on the new Focus. Both of which can be answered by looking at the price list on Ford's website: http://www.ford.co.uk/Hidden/BrochuresandPricelists I thought it might actually be helpful to direct you to the price list where you could see all options and standard spec for each trim level which would answer your questions and possibly more. This forum is about helping people and helping people help themselves, but as I'm no help I won't reply to your threads anymore.

  50. Big trouble, the ECU isn't like swapping a wheel, it's coded to the car and would need to be the right part number and it would also need to be coded to the other cars modules
