tdci smoking

Featured Replies

Ive got a 2003 130 tdci mondeo, and its smoking.

Not all the time, sometimes when accelerating or pulling off. Any ideas anyone.... egr, turbo seals........ :P

several things can cause smoke

tdci's are fuel sensitive so supermarket fuel will smoke more than a branded fuel - try some injector cleaner. if the egr valve is gunked up this will also cause smoke, if there is a loss of power or miss fire check for a split turbo hose. any of these will cause smoke, without seeing the car its hard to say what the problem is. i presume its black smoke we are talking about.
