The scotch locks are best cos you dont need to cut wires i took my feed from the light switch just put the meter on until you find the 12v cant remember the colour!

It looks same as mine apart from the earth i took from the light switch as well! Put your meter on continuity and see if you have a good earth or negative! What is actually happening? Ohh i linked my negatives to the black negative on the remote locking kit so your yellows and the black all go together!

Hi guys, thought it better to resurrect an old thread as opposed to starting a new one. I'm trying to fit an aftermafket RCL kit to the wife's fiesta 1.4 Zetec. The kit is off eBay and is very similar go the ones on you tube posts. Going thru this thread I've done as described, the yellow, yell/black and black all to earth (same earth). Got a live feed from the cig lighter. The white (lock) wire goes to the thin Ora/blk on the green plug on the GEM and I have it locking (well not the Dvr door). The thread says got connect the white/black (unlock) wire to the thin Gree/blk wire in the grey GEM plug but mine has 2 of these (not in the same terminal either). Which one? Both? I have tried pushing the wire in to check it but it still doesn't work.

Can anyone help me find the unlock wire on this GEM so I can finish the job. The car has centr locking (on the key not remote) and has the basic (2S6t) GEM.

Thanks for any assistance

Hi mate wow this thread brings back memories... Iv had a 2 mgzrs 2golfs a Laguna and my current BMW since I had this fiesta, you need to go for the grey plug that has the 2 blue indicator wires in it, one may be blue and red... I think? Let me know how it goes :)

Richbaker thanx for the reply. My grey plug on the GEM has 2 black n green thin wires. Tried poking my unlock wire in to both but neither works. I have the lock working but only on 3 passenger doors not the drivers. I'm thinking this bits linked to not being a complete system yet ( no unlock connected).

Mate, thanks for the wire diagrams. I don't know enough about wiring to understand them.
