New Owner Focus 2.0 Titanium X TDci - SD card trouble

Featured Replies

Hi

Help needed-

I have just removed the SD card from above the center display so that I could check what date the maps were last updated, it is a 2011 Western Europe card.

I then replaced the card now the display remains blank except for time and all the functions have ceased to work ie phone map aux etc.

Have I done serious damage?

This happened to mine at Christmas and no matter how many times I restarted it wouldn't bring my screen back. however, fortunately for me, leaving it for a few hours rectified the problem. My next idea had that not worked was to disconnect the battery for an hour or so, put the card back in prior to re-connecting and seeing what luck that would bring.

Try that :)

Leaving it a few hours hasn't yet fixed it will leave a bit longer the disconnect the battery.

Thanks

Thanks Tomson

Went to remove fuse for the infotainment instead of battery disconnect but sat in car reading manual looking at the diagrams and noticed that the volume control also acts as an push on/ push off switch guess what

- I had probably pushed it off whilst fumbling with the SD card.

Everything now working as before what a relief.
