Speakers - need an easy and decent upgrade

Featured Replies

Looking to upgrade my speakers in my 2012 ZS wagon. Im not looking to change the head unit or add an amp, I just want a nice pair of speakers which will provide a decent change to what I have currently. Done my reading, and done some forum and google searches but there are so many options available, but most come with the suggestion of including an amp.

Has anyone popped down to their local Halfrauds or found some online that they could recommend that provide a decent upgrade to the stock system? Im not looking to win any ICE competitions but Im finding the stock system doesn't provide a great range of flavour to the sound and the bass is quite raw.

any help is appreciated. - ive found a few options via ebay for full kits from names like JVC and Alpine but upon review say they aren't the best sound and require an amp, etc.

Tomson.

I've been looking at kenwood speakers. I don't think they make the best headunits but speakers I heard are good. I've seen a pair on ebay for fiesta size speakers go for around £50. The premium brand which my dad has are focal speakers. Actually found a pair on ebay for my fiesta however they were around £80.

Simply go for Fords premium speakers as fitted to titanium x. They'll be Sony types with a better speaker cone construction. The ones in your zetec s will be paper construction.

The premium ones will also suit your headunit better.
