Ford Focus mk3 boot leak

Featured Replies

Anyone had the issue of water in the tyre well ??

fird were no help but having stripped the boot I found where the water ingress area is but that lead me to a bung on each side of the rear of the car which when removed emptied a jug of water from each hole!!!

How Oe is that water getting in there in the first place? When at a certain level it clearly moves upward into the boot space presumably with motion of the car.   It’s currently drained, now it’s raining I can see water coming out of the open holes!

Pretty much every mk3 gets this issue eventually.

It's most likely the rear vents behind the bumper, there's a huge thread on this at the top of the Focus section.

Can also be the rear light seals as well so worth putting a bit of grease on those while you're resealing the vents.
