Delay on Gauges

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

Just bought a Ford Connect about 2 weeks ago and was running perfectly.

I swapped out the standard stereo for an aftermarket one with blue tooth. I bought the ford wiring loom from Halfords etc to plug in but the ignition cable would power, checked this out with a voltimeter.

I found an ignition source in the fusebox at glovebox so ran a new cable, now everything is working but I'm seeing a delay on my gauges.

Roughly about 15 / 20 seconds on the fuel guage before it moves up (and very slowly), radio takes about the same time before it comes on.

I have done the test thing with pushing the Speedo reset, but the gauges are still slow to respond.

Am I missing something or is the ignition wire source likely the cause of my problems?
