smoke from back of engine

Featured Replies

HI All

Firstly Hello i'm a new member:smile:

I'm having a problem with smoke coming from rear left hand side of engine, rocker cover gasket replaced, but smoke persists.  I have returned car to dealer and after 2 weeks i have been told (and trust me i don't believe them!) that all they can see is water dripping from windscreen scuttle and landing on the exhaust.   Is this a common problem? i have noticed water on top of suspension strut but notice from Forum that this is common.

Thankyou

Paul

What is the smoke color? If you changed the rocker gasket due to leak, that would be oil smoke versus steam from the windshield water.

You also have hoses for different systems back on the left rear, so they might have sprung a small leak.
