Hello all,

not sure if this has been discussed before so please forgive me if it has.

I have an intermittent fault with my led odometer display. As i type this it is all working, but when i get in the car tomorrow morning it may not work at all and be completely blank or some of the digits may not display. My question is this:

If i change the instrument cluster does my engine code need to be the same as the car it has come off? Or can i simply swap the cluster regardless of the previous car’s engine code? Also, will my current odometer reading remain, or will it be for the car it’s removed from?
