Fiesta braking issues

Featured Replies

Had an issue with inconsistent braking for the last two months on my Ford Fiesta Zetec. One minute the brake pedal

is firm the next it goes to the floor. Car passed its MOT last week and I mentioned that the brakes were not right. Prior to this we replaced the Master  cylinder on the car and I’ve had the brake fluid changed and the pads and general braking checked by Halfords.

Anybody else had this or know wheat to try next?

Have you checked for any leaks on the brake lines? Last year after bringing my car back from MOT I noticed there was a patch under the rear right side. It also failed as they said the brake pedal would creep down all the way. I then found out the MOT inspector accidently made a hole in a brake fluid pipe which runs to the rear drums. Changed that and bleeder the brakes and it went to normal again.
