Trying to Upgrade from Sync 2 to 3 But ford says VIN is 2015 ? , when car registered in 2016

Featured Replies

Hello

Trying to Upgrade from Sync 2 to 3 But ford update page  says VIN is 2015 ? , when car was first registered in 2016 , so i should still be allowed the free upgrade as stated on the website

But im not getting any luck or replies from ford

Is there another way ?

many thanks

The car was probably built in 2015, which is what the vin will go off.

Mine was built in Feb 2014 but is a 14 plate still. Many cars end up sat in a compound for a few weeks before they are shipped etc. They only get a registration plate at the last minute (especially when the new plates come out).
