Hi. my name is James and i drive a Ford Fiesta 1.25 2006 with 80k on the clock.

I love my little car it is reliable, so cheep to run and very simple to work on. I have had the timing done at my local garage buy i do everything else myself. never given me any problems even in the cold snap back in March

I will be buying a newer MK7 later in the year.  Probably  a 15 or 16 plate. just need to decide what engine to go for.

Hi Welcome

Hey James - welcome to the forum!

What engines can you pick from on the 15/16 models? I'm not sure if they've changed in the MK8 models, but I can personally vouch for the 1.0 liter EcoBoost, 140PS, 6-speed manual on mine. It brings a smile to my face every day! :)
