ADVICE ON WONKY STEERING PLEASE PEEPS ???

Featured Replies

Just had my car 3d tracked and the 2 front wheels balanced as the steering and ride was all over the place.

No more wheel shaking or wobbling and car does generally feel better HOWEVER my steering wheel now sits at 3.10......

been back the garage and they re tracked it...slight improvement but still sits at 10 past 3. Gonna have to back garage next week to see what they say just wondered if any1 had come across this before or had any ideas of what it could be......am amsuming a bush some where or something must be worn.....

ANY ADVICE OR FEEDBACK VERY MUCH APPRECIATED X

I'm no tracking expert, but I'd say the tie rod end on the drivers side needs ***** in more and the tie rod on the passenger side winding out more. In effect you would be centring the steering rack and therefore your wheel.

Either that or take your steering wheel off and re-centre it.

They have adjusted the tracking from one side only, it needs to go back and get sorted, make sure the centre the steering wheel before they start.

resetting the steering wheel is not the way forward.
