Anyone know what the standard spec of the ST-3 is on an 08 plate?

One locally on eBay atm at a very good price...but seems to have very little spec!  No auto lights/wipers/mirror.  Manual rear windows. No climate control.  No cruise (though I don't think you can have cruise on the ST anyway).  So just wondered what the actual 3 spec was!?  Surely it's not just the leather seats?

Mines a 16 Plate ST-3 and has cruise, limiter, heated leather seats etc. Even being older I'd expect at least cruise and auto lights?

Doesn't the MK2.5 brochure have the standard specs listed in it?

EDIT: Yes it does...rear electric windows was an option on the ST

Hmm, so it was just the full leathers and 6CD...that's a bit crap tbh!

I don't think you can have cruise with the 5 pot engine, the ECU doesn't allow it.  But I was expecting auto lights and wipers and climate to be standard on the top model.

Yeah, climate control/NX navigation/etc. were all 'premium' options it seems. I wonder if you could retrofit CC to an ST?

Tbh it's the auto lights and wipers I'd want, means changing the screen though.  As above I don't think the ST ECU allows cruise although that's an easy change if it does.  And to retrofit climate requires the whole dash out.  If I've learned anything over 30 odd cars, it's to just buy one with the spec you want lol.

Though saying that, cruise was easy to retrofit to my mk2.  And I've just retrofitted cruise to the Audi A3 for under £50 as well...but the A3 does have DZ climate and sat nav already.  Just no auto lights and wipers sadly.

I know you can retro CC to the 'normal' MK2/2.5 - would this not be the same with the ST? Or is the engine/ECU not compatible? There's a thread on focusstoc linking to the guide here suggesting it's doable but obviously I've NO idea!

I lucked out a lot on my Ghia. For all it's issues it has a few options on it and I can add a few more at relatively little cost if/when I want them (e.g. ISOFIX bracket for when my impending little one arrives)

Yeah I've fitted cruise to several mk2 Titaniums and Zetecs, but it's the engine ECU that stops it on the ST I thought, though I may be confusing that with the Fiesta instead as it was a while since I looked into it!

I miss the spec from my Mk2 Titanium tbh, on top of the usual Titanium spec it had full leathers, xenon front lights and LED rears, cruise (retrofitted), privacy glass, front screen heat shielding, chrome boot trim, powerfold mirrors, voice control, etc.  Now I just have a basic Mk3 Titanium with horrible cloth seats, rubbish headlights, no privacy glass, etc.   It's daft really as I don't 'show' the car at all, and it's just a dull Focus to randomers, but I really miss the spec for myself.

I'd love to get powerfold mirrors on my Ghia, purely for car parks. I'm sure I could do it but it's finding the parts and actually finding the time to do it all. I'm sure I was meant to have privacy glass on mine but it doesn't look any different to the front so maybe not...

Interestingly, the Focus CC bumper is available as an accessory for the MK2. Might look into that at some point along with a MK2.5 rear bumper. Looks so much cleaner IMO

Yeah, mine are not that dark so clearly doesn't have it!

My mirrors are different from that one in terms of looks, but I'm sure they all fit as it was only the front of the MK2.5 that was different from the MK2 wasn't it? I could probably find the rear glass if I was that bothered and didn't want to get mine tinted

Pretty much every body panel is different between the Mk2 and 2.5 but I don't know if the mirror bases are interchangeable.  I think the mk2 has side repeaters in the wings so won't have side repeaters in the mirrors.

There was an option to get indicators in the wing mirror (with silver filler plates saying 'Ghia' or 'Titanium' in place of the side repeaters on the wings), and puddle lights too as the ST had them, but they do seem different so I'd need to get the right mirrors for my MK2. Genuine new ones on eBay seem to be around the £105 mark, OE-quality seems to vary but roughly £70 each and I could re-use my existing painted covers

The wing mirrors seemed to be on the late-reg MK2s, though, as they also has body-coloured fog light trims as well

Ah yeah, they are quite different, it's surprising how different the prefacelift actually is when you look closely!

Interestingly I just found this post from @JW1982 regarding the early MK2.5 CC wing mirrors being the best of both (MK2 base, MK2.5 housing)

Although looking at pictures it seems to be the opposite - MK2 mirrors on the MK2.5 base...
