Air con not working, compressor not running

Featured Replies

The air con is not working on 04 fiesta. Went to re-gas and found it to be full. Noticed compressor isn't running. It could be one of the wires gone but I noticed the relay box only has one in it. It seems to be the air con relay yet the heating works and air con doesn't. Any ideas if that is the relay and where can I get new ones?

Also, the fans only work on max - 4. And the others dont do anything, might be unrelated.

Does the cooling fan work?  I doubt you'll have a PTC heater in a UK Fiesta so wouldn't expect relays in there but you will need the fan to work for the AC.

The interior blower needs a new resistor which is why it only works on max setting, unrelated to AC issue.

Thanks, replacing that resistor now. Haven't had chance to get the engine hot enough for the fan yet.
