Dpf won’t regen!

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a focus 1.6 tdci econetic on a 2013 plate with a gremlin in the system. I have cleaned the dpf and tried a replacement dpf sensor. The voltage on the return from the differential pressure switch sits at 0.4v at idle and increases to 0.6v at around 2000-3000 rpm. My mechanic has attempted a forced regen but the diognostic computer (snap on) just stops shy of actually performing the regen. He can’t even tell the on board computer that we have fitted a new dpf. He manages to clear all the fault codes, but they return the instant the engine is restarted. I’m trying my hardest to prevent having to pay Ford the disgusting £115+vat for them to carry out a diognostic that I’ve already had done by two separate garages. My mechanic recons this could be a software problem rather than hardware as we’ve addressed dpf and sensor issue? Please help.
