Apologies if this is already a thread. I've had a rather long day so I'm after a bit of light-hearted humour (preferably without offending anyone). 

So, what are the worst mods you've ever seen on a car that you can think of? Feel free to post pictures to increase the comedy value. 🤣

A Chrysler PT cruiser with loads of stick on chrome bits.
A truly terrible car made even worse.
Usually parked near me but not seen in a while, i'll get pics if it shows up again.

Seen a car a few mornings on my way home from work. I think it’s an mx5, painted Matt black (looks rough so might even be blackboard paint), lower than a rattlesnakes belly but the rear spoiler is wobbling away on risers that must be a metre tall.

I once seen a late type Granada while out spectating on the Wales rally GB, it had painted on numbers on the door and a catering size baked beans tin somehow attached the the back box, among other hilerious stuff, I nearly went off the road in histerics when it went by. The guy honestly thought he was Colin McRae.

Saw a Mk3 RS today...  With halogen headlights...  A cloth interior...  And drum brakes...

If you're gonna do a conversion, do the whole lot!

That reminds me. Few weeks back I was parked on the main road and coming from behind me looked like a mk6 fiesta zetec s or ST telling by the front bumper. Went past and saw it had no spoiler and the badge just said zetec on it. Just shows they put the ST bumpers on. Mk6 fiestas are cheap to get now unless insurance holds some people back getting the 1.6 litres zetec s and 2 litre STs

I would still love to have a go in it though! Looks like most of my old Grand Theft Auto cars lol. Bet that turns more heads than a GTR.

You need cable ties on Vauxhall alloys to stop Focus drivers from stealing them!

They aren't alloys...they're hub caps on 5 spoke steels designed to fool people into thinking they're alloys...looks like it's worked.  

Never knew 5 spoke steels existed. 

 

And now now I want them 🤪

@TomsFocus lol just spotted that now when you said. When I was on the city bug forum back when I had my Peugeot there was someone who had 5 spoke wheel trims. At first I thought he had alloys until he said they are just wheel covers. 

If you have wheel trims try to get cable ties which match the colour of it. Makes it harder to see. Something which is a good precaution. Sometimes miss the pug. It's not as fast as the fiesta but was fun to drive. It didn't have a temperature gauge so I'd thought (was 17 back then) that when hot air comes from the air vents it's warmed up so boot it 🤣. Parts were cheap to for example the clutch kit was only £37

Good thing the clutches are cheap on those with the rate they go through them!  

I've never understood why people cable tie wheel trims on though?  Does anyone steal them!?  Who would buy them!?   

I've never had one fall off either, although I admit I haven't had many cars with wheel trims...and I soon fitted alloys to those that did lol.

@TomsFocus I'd thought mainly cable tieing them would prevent them from coming off if you accidentally kurb them badly. I did take care when I bought them having only kurbed them 3 or 4 times lol and that's not bad when the car didn't have electric mirrors. I remember I was merging but some guy in a corolla was moving fast in the lane I was merging in so quickly moved back but the kurb already was narrowing into the lane I had to merge in so ended scraping the trim. I just started tailgating them until they just floored it. Don't ever tailgate but that time I was angry and upset.
