I recently had new Oil & filter & garage refused to update service light so it had reminder of service due for a while then it changed & went into E.M. light. I had it checked by breakdown service & there were no fault codes recorded. Would this be the reason I am getting this warning light on  & can this be got rid off easily.

hold down the brake and accelerator with car fully turned off, then turn the ignition on, keep both peddles pushed down, itll beep and reset the service warning light

Hell, knows why they refused to do it, more likely they didn't know how to do it, in any case, might be worth considering a new garage as thats pretty petty.

Too right, I certainly wouldn't be giving them any more of my money if that's their attitude. 

Thanks for your help. Did take car for diagnostic & they confirmed it was oil light not being removed. Took car back to original garage & obnoxious boss since been  removed & they re-set oil light & refunded my £35 diag. By the way tried to re-set as advised but must have been doing it wrong.
