mk4 mondy tit x automatic fluid ?

Featured Replies

so just bought a 2008  2.0 tdci auto estate and there is no mention of a gearbox fluid change , rang local ford dealer who told me it is a f auto not a powershift and doesn't need changing ?

i want to change it as it 91k miles but what do i use as ford dont supply the fluid as when they change a box its already filled !!!!!!!!

many thanks in advance ...

I would get in touch with the parts department at a Ford dealers and ask  about the fluid as they should sell it in 1 litre containers or contact a gearbox specialist who would be able to tell you. The fluid won't be cheap but for peace of mind it is worth it - I have a power shift  box and I will do mine when it is required  as when I bought my car in the paperwork there was a bill / guarantee for a replacement clutch for £1600 all because someone missed a fluid change. 😳
