Stereo and Mic

Featured Replies

Hi

I own a focus mk2.5 and ive recently bought a pumpkin android 8.0 stereo, set up everything apart from the mic for bluetooth, as my car already has one in , does anyone know if its simple to attach the ford one to most stereos or better to fit a new mic?

Thanks in advance

It can be done, but you'd either need an adaptor or to wire the correct plug yourself. Microphones are generally two wires, but I'm not sure if noise cancelling requires another.

Do you know where to get an adaptor or know any how to links or anything?

Thanks for input

I've not saw any adaptor kits for the Mic

I plan on gettin a large bottle cap from a Domestos bottle.

Drill out the centre and put the aftermarket microphone in through the hole,

Then clip the bottle cap in to the original microphone slot in the focus panel

The cap will focus the sound in to the Mic. Aswell as muffle out sounds from the rest of the vehicle.
