New Key Needed - Mondeo 2014

Featured Replies

Hi folks, long story short, I need a new spare key for my car. I have the original key but I need a spare. It is the keyless/push button start car.

I have the car sold provisionally on condition I get him a spare key. I have been quoted €305 for a replacement.

Surely there is a cheaper alternative. All help appreciated.

Not that i found.

You can get spare keys on eBay quite easily, but you will then need to go to a dealer to get both keys programmed to your car. If you pop the back off the fob and remove the key blade you will see a part number that you can then search for.

Earlier models used a different encryption which can be coded/programmed with Forscan but I think yours being a 2014 model it is going to need a dealer.
