Ford Mondeo Edge 1.8 petrol - 2007

Featured Replies

Major problems with this car. It is a 1.8 petrol - 2007 Mk 111,

It needed new brake calipers and discs on the rear for MOT - car has only done 51,000 miles.

After fitting Garage could not bleed.brakes.  Although brakes were working correctly before,  now replaced brake master cylinder, Still no bleed and pedal goes to the floor. garage now says it is the ABS pump,  again which was working perfectly.

Any help greatly appreciated as new ABS is a whopping £1900. ! ! !

Thanks Graham

It needs diagnostics to bleed the ABS pump properly .

Thanks.  Garage has done all it can and been as helpful as possible even changing second hand parts. But now looks as if ABS unit must be sent away to be reconditioned. Car has stood for 4 years so probably where all the problems come from.
