What battery?

Bit of an emergency, my battery has died, been on its way out for some reason anyway. 

 

Have a 2012 1.6 diesel tit x what do I need to replace. Have searched on euro but there's 2 types

Thanks. Have got one now though plus doesn't appear to be EFB tech that's needed

by press rear fog 5 times do u mean on and off 5 times  and hazards on and off 3 times or just pres the actual buttons 5 times and 3 times

Literally 3 and 5 presses from what I can remember I may be wrong, what I did was try until it worked

i might be accused of health and safety gone mad syndrome but shouldn't that Bosch battery have a plastic cover over the live terminal to reduce chances of a short circuit when using tools etc under bonnet and if there is a crash etc.     I know cars never had those covers years ago but I think they are a sensible precaution.

I did put a cover on the positive side which was on the original battery.

As above, literally 3 & 5 presses.  You should end up with the hazards flashing and rear fog on as it's an odd number.  Will obviously need to switch them off after completing the sequence. 

yup.  exactly as you said.  done it.  red battery light flashed a few times.  tirned bk off. assume reset done.  im not sure i needed to do it but i have.  hope i havnt cahsed any problem coz ut was ok b4 reset

Yeah that'll be it done, it really is that simple, won't have caused any problems!  :smile:
