my 2008 ford s max 1.8tdci egr valve has been given bother.i replaced it with 1 from eBay and it worked perfect for 4 months.then the engine management light came on with esp light.i got it plugged in and said it was egr valve.

I bought another egr valve and it made the car worse!

so I decided to blank it off with a plate from ebay.

i discontented the pipe at the back and put on the plate,but there is air/gas coming out when I have it tightened!!

any idea why?
