Cranking and not starting, help!

Featured Replies

New member here, was wondering if I could pick your brains!

I have a 2009 1.6 tdci Ford focus econectic that I replaced the engine in and have been driving for the past year and a half with no problem.
Recently i got a check engine light and a few minutes later it died and would crank but wouldn't start. When I scanned it, it gave a code for the bank 1 exhaust gas temperature sensor which on inspection had completely broken in half. I changed that and it still wouldn't start so I scanned it again and its giving the code P0033 for the turbo bypass control valve cercuit, but as far as I know a faulty valve wouldn't stop the car starting and I only changed the charged air unit so I think it's part of a bigger problem. A couple of months ago I got an airbag light on the dash board and when I scanned it I gave a code U0073- control module communication bus off. But the light went off after a few minutes and I haven't seen it since with no problems until now. I hear these cars give terrible wiring problems?
Any help is very much appreciated
