Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor query

Hi just a query I am trying replace a possible faulty fuel rail pressure sensor on a 55 plate 1.8 tdci focus, however i have come unstuck due to the fact the type on the car is a delphi type 55PP02-02 but everywhere I look this relates to a 2.0 tdci and not 1.8, the part number listed for the 1.8 tdci is DELPHI 55PP02-03 if these numbers to part match are so important how has it worked faultless for the last7 yrs or so since i have owned it? hope someone can help with this confusion many thanx.
