Do I need any special tools to change front pads and discs, or is it a straight forward job?

Decent jack and axle stands, Right size Allen key (non standard) for caliper removal, correct lubricant for sliders, make sure mating faces on hub/new disc are clean.

I always use some spare wheel nuts and bolt the disc on the hub, then assemble caliper with new pads, pump pedal to position piston/pads then spin the disc - if there is any run out, your ears should detect it !

Not certain but I think Allen key might be 7mm. Also can’t remember if this car has a countersunk Philips screw holding disc to hub. Many cars have that and they can be troublesome without an impact driver. I don’t mean a power tool, I mean the short fat things you hit the end of with a hammer.

Changed discs and pads on my sisters 2004 fiesta yesterday, same brakes as yours I would think. 7mm Allen key to remove calliper. 13mm spanner / socket to remove the calliper holding bracket. Then the disc just falls off. Easy job if all goes to plan. G clamp or something similar to push piston back into calliper. Check brake fluid reservoir does not overflow when doing this
