My horn beep does not sound on a double lock anymore. what could be the problem?

    I always thought the beep was to inform you there was an issue locking the car

    It beeps if you lock the door but the boot is open etc, almost certain it isn’t meant to beep for any form of locking unless there was a problem of some sort

    Makes sense, probably why we have never heard a beep when locking.

    As mentioned the horn only sounds if you attempt to lock the car and for some reason there's an issue (such as a door / hatch not completely closed)

    The double / deadlock activation on second rapid press of the lock button is signified by a double flash of the indicators - so a single flash for lock, 2x more flashes for deadlock / doublelock.

    After the locking precedure is completed you can check the lock status.  Press the lock button again and the lights will flash 3x times to confirm it is deadlocked.

    If you want to reactivate the beep feature: Press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the remote for at least two seconds. Watch for the hazard lights to flash once. The horn should honk one time.

    double beep/horn usually indicates an issue. just tested on my kuga
