St150 engine into mk6 zs

Featured Replies

Hi I have been asked to swap my mates mk6 fiesta zs engine with a st150 2.0l I am going to go ahead before anyone says it’s not worth it as he is willing to pay whatever it takes, I am planning on just getting on with it and working out what we need as I go along but didn’t know if anyone had ever done this before and could supply me with a list of parts required for this job ( I know this is a big ask and probably not been done by many)

thank you in advance

I assume you're starting with a petrol ZS and not a diesel one?  I helped with the swap a few years ago, it wasn't too big a job just for the engine, but once you start uprating the suspension, brakes, interior etc you may as well have just bought the ST, I had an ST150 at the time myself lol.  Pretty sure it was just engine (with engine loom), gearbox, ECU, clocks, airbox (or run a cone) and exhaust.  It helps if you can buy a rear ended donor ST so you can take any unexpected parts.  You'll need to adapt the power steering slightly as well.

Awesome mate, yeh doesn’t need to be a replica aslong as it has a 2.0l st150 engine in it that runs and drives that’s all he cares about and he has all those parts already and I think we will do some of the suspension and brakes but no appearance or interior work and yeh it’s a petrol zs mate cheers for the reply.
