Knocking from the front...

Featured Replies

Going over pot holes and general rough road, there's a knocking noise coming from (I guess) suspension components.

Now... I've already fitted new front Springs, Shocks, Top Mounts, Drop Links and Tie Rod Ends (Not for the reason of knocking, they were just worn). What's the next most likely reason for the knocking?

Wishbones?

CV joints, Anti roll bar bushings. Could be a number of things really, you just have to get under the car with a pry bar and see what moves excessively.

Regarding the Anti roll bar bushings... Is there an easy way to get to them? I tried changing them from the wheel well when I fitted the shocks and springs but it seemed way to tight down there. I gave up after a couple minutes.

Is there a certain way I can get to them without dismantling half the front end?
