Amazon music app anyone had any experience using it with sync3? Im thinking about using it.

Doesn't work.
Try Ford+Alexa, install on your phone then you get an Alexa tab on your audio source screen.
My car communicates with the wake up word and also via the voice button if vehicle noise picks up too far.
I have full Alexa operability.
Just make sure you open the app on your phone while in the car.

Works great through Android Auto, don't know if it's supported on Apple Carplay too?

Iphone 6s and uk

What sync version?
The app needs sync3 (version 2.2 and above) to function.
If you have sync2 or earlier you could buy a cheap echo dot (version 2 works well and available for about £25) and plug in via an aux cable.
You'd have to set the dot to run on a wifi hotspot which is a bit of a palaver tbh but once done will add full Alexa functionality.
Unfortunately Ford don't seem to have factored in linking a echo dot to the car's bluetooth.
I tried this with a spare echo dot, all working on mobile hotspot and powering up just fine but even though the car saw the bluetooth device it wouldn't connect.
The Ford+Alexa app works just fine for me now though.
