Hello All

I have just purchased a Ford Escort with the reg of AMV729T, Chassis GCAFUM03992. Is there any way of telling of how rare it is, I have been told its one of 200 made.

TIA

You can try the howmanyleftwebsite but its not particularly accurate as the same car can be registered under different spec names at different dealers.  If you use the exact spec from the V5 that's about the best way to do it.

It looks like its just an L from a basic check though?  If so, there were over 400k of them made!  https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/ford_escort_l

What do you mean by rare. do you mean just for that model or by colour or engine combination or something else.

if you narrow it down to exact spec  eg. saloon/estate, manual/auto box, trim level (L etc), engine size, number of doors, paint colour, upholstery colour,  perhaps there were some combinations that were rare.
