Just purchased a MK8 2018 Fiesta ST line X and noticed my dashcam was always running. Is there a definitive guide or video as to how to make the 12v socket ignition live only? Luke4efc Posted June 14, 2019 Share Posted June 14, 2019 No. You're best off just hardwiring it in. Looks miles cleaner and obviously only turns on when the ignition is on. Comares2001 Posted June 15, 2019 Share Posted June 15, 2019 Are u sure socket is perm live as on most Fords now socket powers down after car has been locked for some time (10min - 1hr) .
