Headlights

I've just bought a 2014 fiesta zetec s and when I turn the engine on the dipped headlights come on why is it doing this? Cheers

That's probably DRL's (daytime running lights).

They became a legal requirement on all vehicles designed after 2011.

Either that or you have automatic lights turned on.

Same thoughts as above. Note also that some fiestas had daytime lights before ford started using newer headlamps with a line of leds at the bottom for the daytime lights

Is there anyway I can turn these off? They aren’t daytime running lights thanks

On lower trim levels Ford don't use LEDs but a bulb.

If you have front bulbs on but nothing at the rear, they're just non-LED DRLs, you won't be able to turn them off, they're a legal requirement
