Just bought a 2017 Focus St-Line model and put the vin into the Ford UK site to check the software for updates via my PC. Comes back as up to date for the software, but has a map update (25gb) available. I've tried several times to download the map update to my computer, but it seems to take an age to "prepare the download" and is stuck on the same page just waiting and waiting with a spinning circle in the middle, telling me, almost there, be patient. Just wondered if this is normal for it to take so long to download the new map?

    With your year Vehicle you should be able to get maps update especially given you are actually being offered one. Suggest you  keep trying periodically as could just be Ford server problems. When the download is ready and starts you will know. Issue that others are having with updates appears to be affecting only some MY18  and MY 19 cars.
