Alloy swap questions

Featured Replies

Hi, just a quick query about swapping alloys over.

So I have a 2012 Ford Fiesta econetic titanium 1.6 TDCI, the alloys on my car are the 15" 6 spoke alloy for the econetic. (Originals)

I want to change my alloys to the 17" black edition Ford Fiesta ecoboost 8 spoke alloy. Photos included.

I was wondering if I could literally remove my alloys and place the 17" alloys on my car (straight swap). Or if I would have to do anything to my car?

Many thanks!

I'd hate to sound like an *****, but was my reply in the other topic (which literally told you everything you need to know about swapping) not good enough orr??

I wanted more of a definitive answer as I'm not great with cars, additionally I found something online saying that to fit those alloys I would need ESP, and was hoping someone would mention about me getting it or if I might have it?

No need to worry about extra sensory perception if you don't have it. Lol . Wheels are wheels regardless of size . As already said some larger  wheels and tyres can catch inner arches without rack limiters. I would fit wheels and tyres of 17in and see if they catch. If they don't, all good . If they do don't go full lock and get rack limiters fitted at some point.
