Fiesta mk8 audio unit reset question

Featured Replies

Hello to all,

couple of days ago I encountered a problem with my audio unit , my audio unit is the same as the one in the photo below , while moving the audio unit refused to respond to any button , it didn't even switches off , it remained on , music was playing , I couldn't control any feature , and pressing any button didn't show any difference , the only way to get out of this was to completely park and switch ignition off , lock the car and then unlock and on again , but I've heard that there is a combination of buttons that you can simultaneously press to reset the unit so you don't have to park and switch ignition off , could any one please provide me what combination of buttons that needs to be pressed to reset the unit while moving ? thank you very much for considering 🙂

Yeah spot on. Power and fast forward button simultaneously and hold until the unit goes black and it reboots.

I've had a similar lock up once, just froze and ignored any keys pressed.
