Air Conditioning hose

Featured Replies

I drive a Ford Fiesta Eco boost 2013 so in my opinion still quite a young car. This week the air con hose split and cannot be repaired. The mechanic I use is an old family friend so I trust his word, and he did what he could do fix the problem, but when I took it to be re-gassed, the pressure was too much and it started leaking again. Mechanic had ordered a new hose from Ford but they failed to tell him that the new hose doesn't fit on the fixtures on my car - therefore the whole radiator area needs to be replaced, funny that Ford are continuously trying to squeeze every ounce of money they can out of their customers.

Anyone have any other thoughts as to what I can do, can I go on Ebay and see if there are any hoses on there out of scrapped cars? How would I know what to look for?

I know it is 'first world problems' however I hate having something that should work but doesn't.

Any suggestions other than blowing the car to bits would be greatly received.

Thanks

Sarah
