Rear Seat Base Cover Removal

Hi, i have a tear in my rear seat base cover and want to remove the cover so i can stitch the join together again, have tried doing it without removing the cover but not happy with the out come.

There seems no way of removing the cloth from the cushion and base plate, does anyone know how to remove the cloth with out damaging it so it can be put back on after the repair.

I have attached a couple of photos so you can see what i'm talking about
