Any one else got this?

PS i know my car needs a clean :)

Nope but looks like surface rust, should just wipe off

Are you trying to steal my thunder?!? I'm the only one allowed rust round here !

phew when i read the thread I thought it would be like the MK6 rust spots all over again

DONT SCARE ME LIKE THAT

Take it to ford, they will most likely replace it if its genuie rust and not just surface SCUM!!!

My saxo wiper blades and bolts doesn't have as much rust as that though, maybe try giving it a good clean?

It's a Ford, they come with rust from the factory.

Will Ford replace that? Wear and tear argument? Perhaps they will - I don't know :)

However, I'd simply clean it up and remove the rust and then smear petroleum jelly over the exposed metal (that clearly hasn't been powedercoated well).

lucky you, someone has had off with my cover for the bolt there and i just waiting for it turn to rust

But if that little rust makes you upset, don´t look under your car :P

:o :o :o

Even before i clicked the link i already knew about the rust under the mk7, had a look on mine while it was on the lift when i was getting my tracking sorted and it comes as quite a shock when you first see it lol. You wouldn't expect to see so much rust under a new/newish car especialy considering my old corsa (56 reg) had very little rust underneath.

That rust is ridiculous! Even though it's only surface rust and just looks unsightly, it's still pretty poor that Ford don't do something about it pre-production.

Ford still hasn't sorted out its rust problem, obviously they are better now than ever before, but still not quite there yet!

Just look at the state my Ka was left in from the factory (admittedly an old shape Ka, but still...)
