Sluggish Power 1.0 Ecoboost Fiesta

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a 14 plate 1.0 Ecoboost Fiesta which seems to be running really sluggish at the moment. I have just serviced it, new spark plugs, oil and filter etc but the issue has not been solved.

A week ago now as I was driving I noticed the car suddenly drop inpower almost as if it’s went into limp mode but there is no indication that it is. It hasn’t seemed to fix itself and really struggles going 70-80. It also seems to struggle to get into high revs in most years.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this and can throw me some suggestions on what to look for?

Thanks!

Rhys

Is it throwing any codes?

Hi

We recently had an engine replaced in our ecoboost 62 plate, by a ford main dealer which ford paid for because apparently the engine could potentially catch fire, but we were told it wasn't a recall. Since having it back it is not the car it was and has hardly any power. It's like the engine has been turned down??

Focus or Fiesta? Have you got the work description on an invoice at all or did they give no paperwork?
