I’ve got an issue on my Ford Focus 1.5l tdci automatic and the power steering has gone completely, the following comes up on the dash “steering assist malfunction service required” it’s got keyless start stop!!  anyone got any ideas please?!! I’m in Ireland on holiday with my family until Saturday and need a solution to get me home!! All Ireland ford dealers are telling me is a complete new steering rack and they can’t get the part until next week!!

    As its electric power sterring unless its a fuse then I doubt if there is an easy fix.
