Fiesta zetec s 1.6 petrol 120

Featured Replies

Hi, just wondering is it worth remapping my 1.6L  zetec s. The remap will take my car from 120bhp to 140bhp and Will increase my torque by 23

Well 20bhp will noticeable. But you soon get used to it, and will want another 20bhp etc, etc. Then you'll need to upgrade your brakes and suspension. Plus tell the insurance man. And finally realise you'd have been better off selling the car and buying an ST instead?

Out of interest, what remapper are you considering? That seems a pretty good increase on a normally aspirated car, from just a remap. The Mountune MP140 conversion claimed similar figures but to get that it included a remap, exhaust manifold/system/sports cat, filter and induction hoses and cost around £1500 fitted.
