Can anyone tell me if the 6th gear ratio in the Mk8 St-Line 140 is longer than the 5th gear of the Mk7.5 version?

Or is the 6th the same as the old 5th with just closer ratios for 1st to 5th?

    If it's any help, the mph per 1,000 rpm figures for the Mk 8 140 are:

    1st   4.84

    2nd  8.45

    3rd  12.99

    4th  17.59

    5th  21.94

    6th  26.16

    Thanks, that tells me all I needed to know. Looks like 5th on the new model is very similar to 5th on my 2016 ST-Line.

    Was hoping that 6th was going to be a bit of an overdrive gear on the new model and it seems it is 🙂
