My car has been stiff getting into gear, I took it into my local garage and they have told me the linkage in the gearbox is going, they have quoted me £1000 to fix it as it is 4 hours work and will require a new gearbox and clutch? My car has only done 40,000 miles and is an 11 plate car, I wasn’t expecting bills like this so soon, am I being ripped off?
