ST buying advice?

Featured Replies

Probably going to be looking at a 2014 ST this weekend, it's got near enough 60,000 miles on it.

What things should I be looking out for as potential issues? Any major items need changing at particular intervals?

Thanks in advance

I would check the following:

1. Remove oil cap and check for signs of coolant (white goo, like foam)

2. Run it, once up to temp smell the exhaust for antifreeze smell (sweet)

3. Check axle boots for tears and leaks

4. Check for oil leaks

5. Check log book for regular service information

There are recalls for the coolant hose and system for the Fiesta ST's built before 2015:

Definitely check that the vehicle has been recalled and had the work completed.
