Fiesta MK7 1.6 diesel Titanium

Something is draining my battery intermittently.  2 or 3 times a month i go to start the car and just clicking no attempt to crank the engine over. The car will start off jump leads.   A new battery and a new alternator have been fitted.

New alternator is throwing out 14.7V and the battery (engine off) is reading 12.7V.  Does anyone have any ideas what could be happening here?

Hi have you checked if your boot light is staying on 

Good point, for the time being I'll take the bulb out and see what happens there.  If it goes again then................... 😢

My first thought also.
Boot light, glove box, dash lights etc..
Could be a module staying live somewhere so a good check by an auto electrician may be called for.
Sometimes corroded earthing points can cause such problems.

Are you using FordPass on your phone. 

My Ford Focus seems to drain battery if not used for 1 1/2 days. Taken app off phone and since Aug 8 and no problem. 

Would like to use app for sync3 satnav 

traffic updates.

Don't all interior lights go off after an hour anyway?  Easy to check, just leave the boot/glove box open, have a cup of tea and a tube of dark chocolate hobnobs (essential piece of kit when fault finding!) and by the time you have eaten the last biscuit the light should be off.
